What we do.

Transit Planning

The most successful programs have documented plans for the future. While plans can change over time, it is beneficial for an agency to have an approved plan that outlines its plan for success in the future. Our team understands that well-done planning documents not only provide direction for a program, but also beneficial when submitting grant applications to show a history of diligent and intentional planning backed by reliable information. The planning process also provides an opportunity for the community and stakeholders to participate and have a voice in how their systems serve them.
Failing to plan is planning to fail.

Community Outreach

With over 10 years of experience in host public open houses and facilitating stakeholder meetings, Compass understands that listening to and effectively organizing with stakeholders is the key to success of any program’s plan. Our collaborative approach to working with community leaders, elected officials, and program partners has led to a history of successful projects.

Facility Planning & Programming

We have an experienced team that has worked on facility programming and planning efforts that have led to improved transit operations and multi-modal coordination. Public outreach efforts, Title VI and Environmental Justice (EJ) processes and documentation are not only a great way to maintain a friendly neighbor policy with your community but are, in most cases, required for activities surrounding site selection, programming, conceptual drawings, acquisition of real estate, and construction. Our direct experience working with a myriad of different government agencies lends itself to completing these tasks efficiently, to the satisfaction of the FTA, state DOT’s, and local governing boards.
